Journal for Size-Inclusive Healthcare
JSIHC is an interdisciplinary journal dedicated to creating a healthcare system that prioritizes equitable, inclusive care regardless of body size, weight, and appearance through sharing original research, literature reviews, and creative works. This is the first journal of its kind to focus on weight stigma and size inclusivity in healthcare.
In this peer-reviewed journal, we advocate for a size-inclusive, weight-neutral, evidence-based approach to healthcare. Our aim is to equip current and future healthcare providers with the knowledge and tools needed to practice medicine that honors and respects diverse body experiences. By engaging in thoughtful exploration, rigorous inquiry, and challenging preconceived assumptions, we seek to advance a model of care that enhances health outcomes and strengthens the therapeutic alliance between physicians and patients. Through this work, we can reimagine a healthcare system that is rooted in equity, celebrates diversity, and promotes healing, one where every body is treated with dignity and compassion.
